The X-tension strap design provides external resistance, helping manage tight plantar flexors while protecting the midfoot from collapse and causing skin breakdown. It’s a transition device between solid and dynamic bracing. Perfect for regaining controlled heel-to-toe movement without losing midfoot stability in toe-walkers.
Over time, the goal is to remove the X-tension strap as we improve ankle range of motion (ROM) and midfoot stability.
