WingTek Orthotics and Prosthetics Inc. protects the personal and health information of our patients and website visitors under Canadian and Saskatchewan privacy law.

What we collect

• Contact details, and a parent or guardian’s details for children
• Health history, prescription, assessment findings, measurements, 3D scans and photos
• Funding and insurance details, including your health card number when a program requires it
• What you send through our website forms or chat

Why we use it

• To provide your care, and to make, fit and follow up on your device
• To communicate with you and the health providers involved in your care
• To apply for funding or bill insurers you ask us to
• To meet legal and professional record-keeping requirements

We use photos or stories on our website or social media only with your written consent.

Who we share it with

With your consent, we share only what is needed with your health care providers, funding programs and insurers, and the manufacturers that make your device. We also use service providers, such as our clinic software, that must keep your information confidential. We share without consent only where the law requires it. We never sell your information.

Some manufacturers and service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country.

Children

For patients under 18, a parent or legal guardian provides consent and can make privacy requests on the child’s behalf.

How we protect and keep it

We use secure, password-protected systems and limit access to staff who need it. We keep records as long as Saskatchewan law and professional standards require, then destroy them securely.
